PULLMAN, Wash. - The Seattle U Women’s Tennis team will travel to Pullman, Wash., this weekend as they open their spring season on the road against a PAC-12 opponent in the Washington State Cougars. The match will take place this Saturday, January 14, at 11:00 AM.

Despite a couple key injuries, the Redhawks posted some strong performances this past fall, and head coach Adam Reeb is hopeful to build on that momentum as the spring season starts.

"We have a tough match against Washington State in Pullman to start spring competition, said Reeb.” “This will be our second match of the year as we played a home dual match in the fall and won, but our trip to WSU is our first match in the spring.

They are a deep team who we are excited for the challenge to compete against. We had a really great fall season with some memorable wins at the ITA Regionals against Cal in doubles and Stanford in singles, and we're looking to keep that momentum going here in the spring season.

This is a great group of girls who are so coachable and work so hard every day. We've had some tough injuries hit our squad this year, but the girls have not and will not let that faze them.

We've got a great slate of matches this spring we are looking forward to, and we can't wait to get started on the road in Pullman."

Following their trip to Pullman, the women will return home the following weekend as they host Montana State on Sunday, January 22, at the Tennis Center at Sand Point.
