2011 Cross Country: Took 25th at Mike Hodges Invitational (10/14), finishing in 21:38.85 ... finished Emerald City Open (10/1) in 29:20, placing 34th.

Seattle Prep: Strand earned three letters while running for the Panthers.  He was named Best All-Around Teammate in 2010 and has a personal record of 16:29 in the 5000 meter run.  He also won the school's Cordell Lui Fine Arts Award, Department of English Academic Excellence Award, St. Ignatius Committed to Justice Award, and the National Presidential Service Award and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal:  Full name is David Timothy Strand.  His parents are Eileen Collopy and Tim Strand, and he has both an older sister, Michaela, and an older brother, Erik. Strand majors in art history while getting a minor in studio art.
