Erin Engelhardt begins the second year of her second tenure within the Seattle University athletics department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support.

Engelhardt previously served as Assistant AD of Student-Athlete Support and Senior Woman Administrator from July 2006 through August 2010, when she moved to the College of Arts and Sciences as an academic advisor. She has worked at Seattle University for eight years, coming to the campus as a Residence Hall Director in the summer of 2004.

Engelhardt's primary responsibility will be to ensure the academic success of all student-athletes as well as devise and implement educational and holistic development programs. In addition to coordinating student academic services, Engelhardt will also oversee all academic progress and eligibility matters.

Originally from Syracuse, N.Y., Engelhardt has been recognized for her work both at Seattle University and within the Puget Sound community. In the spring of 2006, Engelhardt received the award for Outstanding New Professional in Jesuit Student Affairs at the annual JASPA conference. In May 2008, she was the staff recipient of the Spirit of Community Award, given out annually by the SU Center for Service and Community Engagement.

Outside of Seattle U, Engelhardt serves on the board of the Rotary Boys and Girls Club, and she was one of the driving forces behind the athletics department's partnership with that organization. She is the advisor to the Seattle U club lacrosse team and also plays with the Breakaway Women's Lacrosse Club.

Engelhardt received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Le Moyne College, where she captained the lacrosse team and helped the squad reach the NCAA Tournament in her senior season. While completing her master's degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University, she served as a graduate assistant for athletic academic advising, working primarily with women's basketball and the tutoring programs.

She lives in Seattle, Wash., with her husband Eric Badeau, a contributor to the Seattle U athletics department through his work as a photographer. Their daughter, Mary Breslin Badeau, was born June 22, 2012.
